BE QUIET…
‘‘He who cannot tame is tongue is like a city without wall’’
So many quarrels and crisis in our families, relationship, and jobs and so on could have been avoided if
only we can be quiet and not respond to the second party whenever we are faced within a conflicting
situation.
Today our words are our biggest weakness and strength and those who know are to make
proper use of them are considered wise.
I have discovered that anytime we humans are confronted with situations that get us upset or provoked
we tend to say things we will later regret. We all have the tendencies to respond with negative words to
situations or people that get us provoked or angry.
I personally have experience such, I got provoked by one of my friends and I said some things that up till
today I regretted saying. Sometimes I wished I can just go back in time and change it. But the deed is
done. From that experience I have learnt that it’s not everything you respond too. Especially when you
are angry the best thing to do is to be quiet or walk away from the situation.
If anyone shout at you don’t shout back, if anyone speak hurtful words to you don’t reply. It has been
discovered that conflict won’t find expression that way.
So many homes have been destroyed because one of the couples refused to be quiet. Especially we
ladies, we are the home keepers. If your husband is angry I don’t expect you to be angry. Two wrongs cannot make a right. You need to exercise Wisdom Dear.
Just one word spoken in the heat of anger can take away everything you have worked for; your home,
Joy, Peace of mind, relationship, families etc.
So, as you are faced with that situation that provokes you to say things you will regret I want you to
think of the consequences of what you are about to say and my advice for is that you be Quiet. It is
better for you not to say anything than for you say something that will haunt for the rest of your life. It
doesn’t show that you are weak or you can’t fight back. It only shows use are wise not
PATIENCE…
…And be fully developed lacking in nothing. James 1:4 (Amp)
When you hear the word patience what comes to your mind. Probably standing in a long queue and
waiting for your turn without you breaking the queue. Well yes! Life is a queue in which you need to
wait for your turn.
Using a queue as an illustration you will discover that different people make up a queue. You have those
in front of you and you have those at your back. But you all have a common goal which is to reach the
end of the queue.
I will like to say the end of this queue stands for our fulfilment in life or to say biblical our REST. It has
been programmed by God that way. You have to follow due process of waiting before entering your
fulfillment and as you wait you learn patience. Greatness doesn’t come automatically there is a law of
PROCESS and what will keep you till then is patience.
Back to the queue you will notice that there is movement. Meaning every time you wait you are
promoted to the next level you don’t remain on the same spot if you patiently wait for your turn. In life I
come to understand that if you want to be GREAT in life you need to pass through the school of
patience.
You will also notice that in a queue you will have people behind and those ahead of you. In life God
places people around you, those ahead to guide you and those behind for you to mentor or guide. If you
aren’t patient you will miss this people because you will want to skip the queue. But Funny enough God
has placed in this people’s hands what I call your ‘’BREAD’’ in terms of blessings or breakthrough.
Although blessings comes from God but he will use humans
In the world we live in our patience is tested every day. But the question is how strong is your patience
as you await your Isaac (Gods promises). Will use compromise when the odds gets though and you can’t
wait again. Will you give up on your purpose because the training is too hard and you can’t endure? Will
you derail from the faith when nothing is forth coming? Everything we go through in life is a test of
patience. WILL YOU SKIP THE QUEUE?
Sister, will you leave God if the HUSBAND you so wanted doesn’t come? God is faithfully and he won’t
deny you of good things such as a husband. But you need to patiently wait on him. Let your eye be single
and don’t be double minded.
ONE major benefit of patience according to the bible is that YOU WILL BE LACKING IN NOTHING. If you
are patient ensure you will eat of the good of the land because God see’s and honors those that ‘’Wait’’.
Remember our father Abraham he waited for years before or Dear Isaac came and because of that his
linage was blessed forever.
In your mind you might be like but time is not on my side, am not getting younger, I need a miracle
NOW! Or things will go bad. What you should do is call on the owner of your life to help you as you wait
patiently. Remember he sees the end from the beginning so trust him.
